Taking a break from the volleyball court were four Indiana volleyball players who tackled the football field.
The four, Taylor Lebo, Jessica Leish, Megan Tallman and Mallory Waggoner, players traded in their knee pads for football helmets. The girls were led by football coach Mark Deal, who was looking to see if there was any carryover from the volleyball court to the football field.
“I’m expecting to, you know, get some touchdowns, a lot of sweat and tears, and possibly some blood,” said Lebo.
The girls took on everything from running back drills to tackling in their day on the football field. At the end of the day coach Deal wasn’t able to name a best player, stating that they were all great. Tallman and Waggoner had a different opinion.
“It’s hard to differentiate between greatness… and then there was Taylor and Jessica,” said Tallman and Waggoner. “Jessica was the worst.”
“It’s 24 sports and one team, they all work hard it doesn’t matter what sport they’re in,” said Deal.
