Left-handed setter Gabby Easton has committed to Clemson as part of the class of 2018. A senior in high school, Easton will join the Tigers as a true freshman for the 2018 season in the fall.
Standing at 5’9″, Easton is a senior at T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson, South Carolina. She helped her team to a 43-11-1 mark in which they made the SCHSL Class AAAAA Quarterfinals.
Individually, according to her MaxPreps profile, Easton logged over nine assists per set, over two digs per set and over a kill per set in each of her final three seasons. As a senior she totaled 9.1 assists per set, 2.5 digs per set, 2.0 kills per set while hitting .362, 0.6 blocks per set and 0.6 aces per set.
On the club side, Easton plays with Upward Stars Upstate. Some of her play can be seen below via YouTube:
Clemson is coming off of a 7-25 season in 2017 – their first under new head coach Michaela Franklin. As Franklin looks to build up the program, they’ll be counting on Easton to add to the setter position where the Tigers return two but lose Keely Hayes, who was part two of the 6-2.
