Micah Christenson was able to establish the middle in light of getting limited production from the opposite in their win against Ravenna. Max Holt and Simone Anzani both scored 9 points from the middle blocker position for Modena. Holt scored on 7 kills and 2 aces while hitting .600 (70%). Anzani’s points came on 8 kills and 1 block. Anzani hit a perfect 1.000 (100%), notching 8 kills on 8 swings. Christenson set Modena to a .391 (52%) hitting percentage in the win.

Ivan Zaystev only scored 6 points on 6 kills with a .295 (35%) attack average, and he did not play in the final set. Giulio Panalli replaced him and scored 2 points on 2 kills. Tine Urnaut paced Modena with 17 points on 13 kills, 3 blocks, and 1 ace from the left side. Bartosz Bednorz had 4 kills but 5 errors and was replaced in the second set by Denis Kaliberda. The German outside hitter finished 6 points on 6 kills and was Modena’s leading passer in serve receive.

Kamil Rychlicki again led Ravenna, this time with 16 points. He was the only double-digit scorer for his team with 14 kills and 2 blocks from the opposite position. Cristian Poglajen and Giacomo Raffaelli both scored 9 points as outside hitters. All of their combined 18 points came from kills.

  • Latina moves to 1-2 with 2 points; Milano slips to 1-2 on 4 points

Top Volley Latina got their first win of the season in a 5-set marathon over previously Milan. Toncek Stern was the leading scorer for Latina with 22 points on 18 kills and 4 aces, but he also finished with 10 errors in attack. Carmelo Gitto scored 16 points in the middle with 10 points, 5 blocks, and 1 ace. Andrea Rossi scored 11 points from the other middle blocker position on 8 kills, 2 blocks, and 1 service ace.

Ezequiel Palacios scored 15 points as an outside hitter with 13 kills, 1 block, and 1 ace. Simone Parodi scored 13 points on 12 kills and 1 block from the other outside hitter position. Daniele Thin set Latina to a .319 (45%)attack average in the win.

Namir Abdel-Aziz was still out injured for Milan. Alessandro Tondo scored 22 points as his replacement at opposite from 18 kills, 1 block, and 2 service aces. Trevor Clevenot contributed 20 points in his most productive match of the young season on 18 kills and 2 blocks. Stephen Maar struggled in serve receive and committed 8 attack errors. He finished with 15 points on 12 kills, 1 block and 2 aces in the defeat.
