Milica Kubura Garners ACC Player of the Week for Florida State

With a pair of ACC wins for the week, Milica Kubura of Florida State brings home the week five ACC Player of the Week.

The Seminoles week started with a loss to the top team in the country in Florida, but they showed resilience and bounced back with a pair of wins over Virginia and Virginia Tech to end the week. Kubura was a key component in the victories with 20 kills in both matches combining with a .595 hitting percentage and 12 blocks for the week.

NC State also scored a pair of wins and Kubura wasn’t the only award winner as Melissa Evans of North Carolina State was selected as the ACC Freshman of the Week. In the two matches, Evans logged 35 kills on a .314 hitting percentage to go with nine blocks for the week.
