Class of 2020 outside hitter/middle blocker Jaden Julius has verbally committed to the Northern Illinois University women’s volleyball program. Julius would be on pace to join the Huskies as a freshman for the fall of 2020.
Julius will be a junior in the fall at Lena-Winslow High School in Illinois. In her sophomore season, which was her second year of varsity, she logged 216 kills (2.5 per set) on a .213 hitting percentage, 77 blocks (0.9 per set), 35 digs (0.4 per set), nine aces and six assists.
In total for her first two years, she has recorded 381 kills (2.3 per set), 148 blocks (0.9 per set), 45 digs and 11 aces according to her MaxPreps profile.
On the club circuit, Julius plays with VC United and the 161 Elite team. She stands at 6’0″ tall and has played outside hitter, middle blocker and setter at points.
Northern Illinois finished the 2017 season at 8-23 overall and 7-9 as a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC).
