Last Friday Robert Morris junior libero Allie Yurkovich recorded her milestone 1,000th career dig as Robert Morris defeated Saint Francis 3-1. In the four setter, Yurkovich posted 15 digs and seven assists, as she not only hit the 1,000 dig mark but also moved into the school’s top-10 career digs list.
Congratulations to @AllieYurkovich, who topped 1,000 career digs with 15 at SFU Friday!

A 5’7″ defensive specialist/libero from Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, Yurkovich arrived on campus in 2015 and immediately played in the team’s 120 sets for the season. In that year she totaled 421 digs (3.51 per set) before logging 372 (3.23 per set) in 2016 as a sophomore. That gave her 793 for her first two seasons which went up to 993 prior to Robert Morris’ last match against Saint Francis when she netted 15 digs.
At 1,008 career digs thus far and with 793 in her first two years, Yurkovich’s current pace would put her on par to wind up in the school’s top three all-time. To move from 10th to ninth on the list, she will be shooting for Erica Robb‘s 1,197 with Alaina Gibson‘s 1,884 as the ultimate target and the school’s all-time dig leader.
After the one-match, one-win week for Robert Morris, they are sitting at 7-9 overall but more importantly 1-0 in Northeast Conference play. Their season continues as Yurkovich looks to tack on more digs to her career total on Friday against Sacred Heart.
