THE BIG MATCH:
#13 USC (14-6, 6-3) at #10 Utah (17-3, 8-1) – 3 pm ET

Two of the top teams in the Pac-12 meet in Salt Lake City as Utah looks to down their second ranked Los Angeles school of the week in front of a home crowd.
Coming into the week, this looked like a meeting of second vs. third in the Pac-12 with both teams in two matches of the leader in the conference – Stanford. While these two still do represent the second and third ranking in the conference, USC’s road loss to Colorado puts them three back of Stanford, meaning they need to win this to stay in contention. Khalia Lanier will look to continue her strong season as she has a team-high 290 kills (4.08 per set).
Utah will look to feed off their home crowd to stay one match behind Stanford as they look to extend a six-match winning streak. The last four have come in four sets for Utah as they’ve been riding high behind National Player of the Year candidate Adora Anae, who leads the team with 305 kills (4.30 per set) and total digs (203).
OTHER NOTABLE MATCHES:
NC State (13-7, 8-1) at (RV) Pittsburgh (16-4, 9-0) – 1 pm ET
- How to follow: ESPN3/Live Stats
Pittsburgh is riding a 13-match winning streak that includes an unbeaten ACC start. They’ve also won their last 10 sets of play as they can put every team at two or more losses in the conference with a home win in this one. That’s something NC State will look to avoid as the Wolfpack can move back into a tie for first, where they started the week.
(RV) Louisville (13-6, 7-2) at Florida State (11-6, 5-4) – 2 pm ET
- How to follow: Live Stats
Both of these ACC foes fell earlier in the week and will be looking to rebound in a conference that has featured many surprising results and shuffling throughout the standings. Louisville could use the road win to stay near the top of the ACC, while Florida State is trying to stop their up-and-down conference start.
