Outside hitter/opposite Jessica Throckmorton has committed to Fairleigh Dickinson as part of the class of 2018. A current high school senior, Throckmorton will join FDU for the fall season ahead in 2018.
A senior at Valencia High School in southern California, Throckmorton spearheaded the Vikings’ 24-11 season in which they went 9-1 in district play. Some video of her play can be seen below via YouTube:
Standing at 5’11”, Throckmorton also plays for Los Angeles Volleyball Academy – specifically LAVA North 18 Adidas. According to her NCSA recruiting profile, she owns a 9’5″ approach, 9’3″ block and 7’6″ standing reach.
Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off of a 5-24 season in which they went 1-13 in the NEC. They had five outside hitters and two right sides as well who were all underclasswomen, meaing Throckmorton will join the large group.
