Class of 2019 outside hitter Noelle Foster has committed to Columbia University with plans of joining for the 2019 season in the fall.
A current junior at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, Virginia, Foster has been with the varsity team the past two seasons. According to her MaxPreps page she notched 3.8 kills per set while hitting .317 this year to go with 1.4 digs per set.
Her team also went 26-2 and advanced to the state semifinals as she was picked to the 2017 Class 5 Girls All-State Volleyball Team, specifically the First-Team.
Foster can play outside hitter, right side and middle blocker as well. On the club side she uses her versatility with VA Juniors VBC, who recently won Gold at the NVPL U17/U18 tournament by winning every set.
Columbia is coming off of a 10-13 season in which they went 5-9 in Ivy League action. They had five outside hitters on their 2017 roster, but three were juniors (and will be seniors in 2018), meaning plenty of spots will open up by the time Foster arrives on campus.
Congrats to @vajuniors 17 Elite outside hitter, Noelle Foster, for committing to play Division I volleyball at Columbia University. @noellefoster_ @CUVB
