Prep outside hitter Paige Johnson has committed to Davidson College in the Atlantic-10/NCAA’s top division as part of the class of 2019. A high school junior, Johnson’s stands at 6’0″ tall.
An attendee of Ponte Vedra High School in Florida, Johnson helped her squad to a 25-5 season in which they went undefeated in league play and eventually won the state championship. According to her MaxPreps profile, Johnson logged 232 kills (2.8 per set) on a .229 mark and 93 digs (1.1 per set) this past season.
On the club side of things she plays with JJVA. She also has experience on the beach, where she was a Beach Volleyball Junior Olympian in 2013 and 2014.
Davidson went 10-17 last season and 3-11 in the Atlantic-10 conference. They had six players at the outside hitter position in 2017, but two seniors graduate. Another part of the group is a junior and will be a senior in 2018, clearing way another at the position for when Johnson arrives.
