Class of 2020 recruit Justyus Jackson has verbally committed to the University of Tulsa women’s volleyball program. A 6’0″ middle blocker, Jackson would be in-store for her freshman season in the fall of 2020.

Jackson was a sophomore this past season at Davenport North High School in Iowa. She also plays with Iowa High Performance Volleyball. She owns a 7’10” standing reach, a 9’8″ block touch and a 10’0″ approach jump. Besides playing in the middle, Jackson can play as an opposite on the right pin as well.

According to Quik Stats Iowa, Jackson logged 135 kills (1.88 per set) on a .317 hitting percentage, 64 blocks (0.89 per set), 39 digs (0.54 per set) and 21 aces (0.29 per set) as a sophomore. Video of Jackson’s play as well as a link to her recruiting profile on Hudl can be seen here.

Jackson isn’t the only future Tulsa recruit that VolleyMob has recorded in our Recruiting Database, as she joins class of 2019 middle blocker Lily Heyne. The combination will add to a position group that features four returning middle blockers from 2017 – with two graduating prior to 2019.

Tulsa is coming off of a 15-17 season in 2017 in which they went 9-11 in the American Athletic Conference (AAC).
