Recruit Tyra Wilson has committed to Binghamton University as part of the class of 2018. Currently a senior in high school, Wilson attends Allen High School in Texas.

A 6’3″ middle blocker, Wilson played for the Allen High School junior varsity in 2015 and 2016. This season, she made the jump to varsity and was able to garner the attention of a Division I school in Binghamton in her senior season at Allen.

At this point in the year, Wilson has made her presence known for Allen High School, who has amassed a 24-3 record and is ranked the top team in the state of Texas by MaxPreps.

Binghamton, located in New York, plays in the America East and has three middle blockers on their 2017 roster. Of those three, two are seniors though with the third a freshman, meaning that two will be off the roster from this year’s team by the time Wilson is set to arrive and battle for early playing time.
