Every day at VolleyMob we will preview several of the most notable and interesting matches in NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball. We will offer an inside look at some of those top matchups each day as we carry along through the 2017 season.

THE BIG MATCH:
Miami (OH) (16-7, 8-2) at Bowling Green (12-9, 8-2) – 7 pm ET

Not only are Miami (OH) and Bowling Green the top two teams in the MAC East Division, but they are the top two schools in the entire Mid-American Conference. Today, they battle things out with the winner taking sole possession of first in the conference.
These teams actually met in each other’s MAC opener back on September 21 in Oxford, Ohio with Miami (OH) coming out on top in four sets as the RedHawks won the last three sets by two points each. Helping Miami (OH) squeak things out was setter Morgan Seaman, who notched 45 assists, 17 digs and three aces in the match. The RedHawks likely don’t have the same luxury as last year when they made the NCAA Tournament without winning the conference, so claiming the MAC crown and winning these games is extremely important.
Bowling Green comes in hot as winners of eight of their last nine matches. Beyond that, they have won every home conference match as they will have that on their side in this one. Although they lost the first meeting, they took the first set and lost the following three games by two points each with one set even going to extra points. Kallie Seimet will look for an encore of maybe the best libero performance of the season after logging 45 digs in the match – something that happened after posting 44 digs in the match prior.

Cincinnati (9-13, 7-3) at SMU (14-7, 8-2) – 8 pm ET

Two of the top five teams in the American Athletic Conference meet in Dallas as SMU looks to stay within striking distance of Wichita State at the top of the standings. For Cincinnati, it’s an opportunity to beat a team ahead of them in the standings as they are currently in a tie for fourth with Tulsa at 7-3 in AAC play. SMU actually has been better on the road than at home, but Cincinnati counters that by being worse on the road than at home in terms of record splits.

Air Force (10-14, 3-7) at #21 Colorado State (21-2, 11-0) – 9 pm ET
