Big West: #1 Long Beach State (17-0, 2-0)
- The 49ers have a meeting with UCSB among 2-0 Big West teams this week to likely decide next week’s team in this position.
Conference Carolinas: (RV) Barton (12-6, 9-0)
- Barton didn’t play this week, and stays unbeaten atop the Conference Carolinas for the automatic bid.
EIVA: #16 George Mason (10-9, 6-0)
- George Mason lost two matches this week in California, but they are still undefeated in EIVA action – and have a two-match lead in the loss column – to maintain this position.
MIVA: #6 Loyola Chicago (16-4, 6-1)
- Loyola Chicago was upended in a split week, but neither came in MIVA play. That keeps them here, which they can secure with a win at Lewis ahead.
MPSF: #2 BYU (17-4, 7-0)
- BYU didn’t add to its MPSF resume, but did earn three huge victories over a trio of top 15 opponents this past week – including at Hawaii. They’ve got a two-match lead in the loss column too in the MPSF.
LIVING AT-LARGE:
#3 Hawaii (13-3, 1-1 Big West)
- Hawaii went 2-1 for the week – not bad considering they saw three top 15 and two top 10 foes. They slide a spot in the rankings, but remain the top non-league leader for an easy choice here.
#4 UCLA Bruins (17-5, 5-2 MPSF)
- UCLA jumps UC Irvine for this second spot of at-larges after the Anteaters lost and the Bruins won matches against Pepperdine and George Mason. They also downed UC Irvine twice, so they grab the final at-large bid.
