The classification portion of the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championships has concluded, with this section of the tournament determining where each team will finish.
Day 1
Day one of the classification round saw five matches with one sweep and four matches going to four sets.
- Bank Sarmayeh def. Beijing Baic Motor 3-1, (25-14, 19-25, 25-18, 25-15)
- Altay VC def. Al-Bahri Sport Club 3-1, (21-25, 25-8, 25-19, 25-22)
- Canberra Heat def. Sri Lanka Ports Authority 3-1, (25-19, 12-25, 25-20, 25-18)
- Al Arabi Sports Club def. Vietnam Sports Club 3-0, (25-15, 25-22, 25-22)
- Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza def. Taichung Commercial Bank 3-1, (25-27, 25-19, 25-13, 25-17)
Bank Sarmayeh continues their repeat title contention with a win over Beijing in their second match of the competition. The silver medalist from the 2016 edition of the championships, Al Arabi Sports Club disappointed the host’s crowd as they took down Vietnam Sports Club in a four-set match.

- Altay VC def. Vietnam Sports Club 3-1, (25-21, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21)
- Taichung Commercial Bank def. Beijing Baic Motor 3-1, (26-28, 26-24, 25-21, 27-25)
Vietnam was stunned again on their home court with Altay VC of Kazakhstan taking the match away from them this time around. Chinese Taipei fought from start to finish to take their victory over the Chinese squad out of Beijing.
