Class of 2019 defensive specialist/libero KyIra Porch, who also goes by KyKy, has committed to the University of Denver women’s volleyball program.
Porch will be a senior at Bacha High School this next season after she was a defensive specialist and outside hitter as a junior.
On the club side, the 5’6″ Porch plays with Arizona Storm Volleyball Club and the 17 Thunder team. On her team are eight other Division I commits as well. She also plays beach volleyball.
Video of some of her play from a few years back can be seen below via YouTube:
Denver is coming off of a 23-6 finish in 2017 in which they went 12-2 as a member of the Summit League before falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Cal Poly. Of the three DS/L’s on their current 2018 roster, one is set to graduate and open a spot for Porch in 2019.
Extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to play D1 volleyball at The University of Denver. So grateful to have the opportunity to play with such an amazing program. Thank you to all of the friends, family, and coaches who have supported me! #GoPios pic.twitter.com/sueG75nHi5
