Class of 2019 outside hitter Jared Phelan has committed to the Lewis Men’s Volleyball team. A current junior in high school, Phelan will join the Flyers at the outskirts of the 2020 Men’s Volleyball season.
Standing at 6’3″ with a 7’11” standing reach, 9’11” block jump and 10’10” approach jump, Phelan attends McKinney Boyd High School in Texas. At the school, Phelan plays with the school’s football team.
On the club side of things, Phelan plays with Austin Junior Volleyball as an outside hitter and right side. Video highlights of his play can be seen below:
Lewis is currently 2-3 on the 2018 season after they went 23-7 and just missed out on the NCAA Tournament playing behind Ohio State in the MIVA. They have six outside hitters on their roster at the moment with two juniors, meaning they will have graduated by the time Phelan arrives.
