Class of 2019 MB Kess Krutsinger Commits to Southern Miss

Class of 2019 middle blocker Kess Krutsinger has committed to the University of Southern Mississippi women’s volleyball program.

The 5’11” Krutsinger will be a senior this upcoming school year with Lewis Palmer High School in Monument, Colorado. As a third-year varsity starter, Krutsinger won back-to-back State Championship games to go with undefeated seasons that totaled a 58-0 mark between sophomore and junior years. The team also finished ranked fourth in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 in 2016 and seventh in 2017.

Individually she has racked up countless awards, including team MVP as a sophomore and offensive player of the year as a junior to go along with all-state, first-team all-conference and Gazette Preps 5A/4A Volleyball All-Star Team honors. According to her MaxPreps profile, she recorded 180 kills (2.0 per set) on a .381 hitting percentage, 88 blocks (1.0 per set), 22 digs and 11 aces.

In terms of club ball, Krutsinger plays with Colorado Momentum Volleyball Club, most recently the 18-1 (Staci) team, where she will be this season as well. Video of her play can be seen below via YouTube:

Southern Miss is coming off of a 20-12 season in 2017 in which they went 9-5 as a member of the Conference USA.
