The Troy University women’s volleyball program has landed a class of 2019 recruit in the form of Jessica LoPresti, a middle blocker and outside hitter from the state of Florida.
LoPresti is in her senior year now at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Through a limited sample size of three sets so far this season, she has totaled nine kills (3.0 per set) on a .143 clip, five digs (1.7 per set) and two aces (0.7 per set) according to her MaxPreps profile.
She was a varsity starter as soon as her freshman year. She was additionally named 2016 Stoneman Douglas Girls Offensive Player of the Year in 2016 when she was all-county honorable mention. LoPresti is also the second class of 2019 commit from her high school, joining defensive specialist/libero Julie Piedra – who will be attending Bethune-Cookman.
In terms of club ball, LoPresti last played with Boomers 17 Black in Pompano Beach. She owns a 6’0″ wingspan and a 22 inch vertical jump according to her recruiting profile, where you can also see highlight film of her play.
Troy finished the 2017 season at 11-22 and 4-12 as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. They are currently 2-1 to begin 2018 and are set to graduate one middle hitter following this year.
