Class of 2019 recruit Adel Gage has verbally committed to the University of Rhode Island women’s volleyball program. Gage is a 5’10” left-handed setter and right side at the prep level.

Gage is a senior-to-be come the fall at Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas. This past season though as a junior, she helped the Panthers to a 24-9 record and an appearance in the Texas 6A State Regional Semifinals as one of two captains on the team. Individually, according to her MaxPreps profile, Gage logged 618 assists (5.9 per set), 266 digs (2.6 per set), 109 kills (1.0 per set) on a .280 clip, 33 aces (0.3 per set) and nine blocks in 2017.

On the club circuit, Gage plays with Woodland Revolution Volleyball Club – specifically the 17 Premier team. Her full recruiting profile with videos of her play can be seen here via SportsRecruits.

Rhode Island ended the 2017 season at 12-16 overall and 6-8 as a member of the Atlantic 10 – good for a fifth-place finish. Their 2018 spring roster featured two setters and no opposites, with one senior setter who is on pace to graduate and leave an opening for Gage come 2019.
