Class of 2020 defensive specialist/libero Libby Borgerding has committed to the University of Nebraska Omaha women’s volleyball program. Borgerding joins one other class of 2020 commit for Omaha recorded in the VolleyMob Recruiting Database in middle blocker/outside hitter McKenna Ruch.
A 5’7″ sophomore with an 8’10” vertical at Highlands Ranch High School in Colorado, Borgerding assisted in the Falcons going 19-6 on the season. In her second season of varsity, she posted 267 digs (5.4 per set), 37 assists (0.8 per set) and 19 aces (0.4 per set) according to her MaxPreps profile.

On the club circuit, Borgerding plays with Colorado Juniors and the 16s Team. She helped them finish fourth at the Colorado Crossroads 2017 with her previous team – 15Peer – where she also won the Pacific Northwest Qualifier. Omaha finished last season with a 10-18 record and a 7-7 mark playing in the Summit League. They have four defensive specialists/liberos on their current 2018 roster, including one junior on pace to graduate at the end of 2019 and a sophomore set to be in her final season in 2020, right when Borgerding arrives to add to the position group.
