Class of 2020 recruit Elise Goetzinger has verbally committed to the University of Kentucky women’s volleyball program. A 6’4″ middle blocker, Goetzinger will become a freshman for the fall of 2020.
A sophomore (and junior-to-be in the fall of 2018) at Mount Horeb High School in Wisconsin, Goetzinger pushed her team to a 33-6 record in which the Vikings made the Sectional Finals. Individually, according to her MaxPreps profile, she logged 439 kills (4.2 per set) on a .285 hitting percentage, 90 blocks (0.9 per set), 29 digs (0.3 per set) and 26 aces (0.3 per set).
For her strong play, Goetzinger was listed as an honorable mention selection on the 2017 Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association (WVCA) All-State Teams. She also continues her prep career with Milwaukee Sting Volleyball.
