Class of 2020 middle blocker and right side Amanda Ifeanyi has verbally committed to the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) women’s volleyball program.
Ifeanyi is a junior at The Woodlands High School in Texas. She joined the varsity team as early on as her freshman season back in 2016. While she is in the midst of her 2018 season, highlights of her play from 2017 as a sophomore can be seen below.
On the club side of things, the 5’11” Ifeanyi plays for Houston Juniors. She also owns a 7’10” standing reach. More highlight video of her play can be seen here.
UTSA is off to a 14-5 start to the 2018 season, including a 6-1 mark as a member of the Conference USA. Of their five middle blockers one is a junior set to graduate prior to Ifeanyi’s freshman season in the fall of 2020.
I’m extremely blessed and excited to announce my verbal commitment to play D1 volleyball at UTSA!! Thank you to all my friends, family, coaches, and teammates who have supported me throughout this process. Can’t wait to be a Roadrunner! #BirdsUp🧡💙 pic.twitter.com/sEmY60maEQ
