Junior Taylor Borup made the most of her first Pac-12 start, registering a season-high 13 kills and a career-high 16 digs in Oregon’s history-making sweep of UCLA. It marks the first double-double of her career as a Duck.
“I thought Taylor Borup was fantastic,” Oregon head coach Matt Ulmer said of her performance. “She was just so steady all night with a lot of big points and big kills.”

It is the first 3-0 win for the 19th-ranked Ducks over the 21st-ranked Bruins since 2014 and the first ever earned in Los Angeles, Calif. The result is a big rebound for Oregon, which dropped back-to-back conference matchups to Arizona (3-2) and Arizona State (3-0) last week.
“In practice this we really emphasized playing Oregon volleyball,” Ulmer said. “We were not satisfied with how we played last week, so I think the mentality we had coming into this weekend was just to play Oregon volleyball, and I think we did a good job.”

Oregon stands at 10-5 overall this season and 3-2 in Pac-12 play, which puts them in a tie for 4th in the competitive league along with Arizona, Washington State and Arizona State.
