According to a report from MPSF Bias/Off the Block, Princeton’s middle blocker Junior Oboh is out tonight for a match with USC.

It’s uncertain the extent of the injury or the timetable for return, but however long Oboh is out it will be a big loss for the Tigers. He was a member of the All-EIVA team in 2017 – his second appearance on the list to pair with a 2015 honor.

In total, Oboh notched 168 kills (1.79 per set), 83 blocks (0.88 per set), 22 digs (0.22 per set) and 18 aces (0.19 per set) while hitting .432 in the 2017 season.

Princeton has three other middle blockers on the roster in 6’11” George Huhmann, the 2017 EIVA Newcomer of the Year, Billy Andrew and Trey Sickler. Andrew and Sickler combined for just 30 sets of play in 2017.

The match tonight kicks off the men’s 2018 season with VolleyMob’s 14th-ranked team (USC) and 15th-ranked (Princeton).
