Serbian Women Cause Anger Over Celebration Photo

With a victory over Poland at the 2018 FIVB World Championship Women’s European Qualifier, the Serbian women’s team advanced on to the World Championships next year.

The top 24 teams in the world make it to this prestigious event that occurs every four years, that will be held in Japan. Since the event is being held in Japan the Serbian women decided to take a photo where they pushed their eyes back to look like an Asian. With the photo circulating the internet, it has caused quite the uproar, angering many.

The photo was used on the FIVB story about the victory, but after many people became angry with the nature of the photo, it was taken down. It was instead replaced with the photo below.
