After leading 2nd-ranked Stanford to a pair of Top 10 victories in Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge action last weekend, junior Kathryn Plummer earned AVCA Player of the Week recognition. It is her first player of the week honor and the 19th all-time for Stanford.

The 6-6 outside hitter led all Cardinal with 15 kills and an efficient .382 attack percentage in their sweep of 9th-ranked Penn State. She added 6 digs and 3 blocks to her line in the win.
Against then-ranked 4th Minnesota, Plummer notched a double-double with a team-high 25 kills and 10 digs. She hit at an impressive .438 clip, while also contributing 4 blocks and 2 service aces.
Through 7 matches, Plummer leads the Cardinal offensively with 100 kills on the season and a 4.35 kills per set average. She is third on the squad in digs (42, 1.83 per set).

Stanford is 6-1 on the young season and brings a 4-match win streak into Week 4 of NCAA Volleyball action. The Cardinal’s lone loss came to now top-ranked BYU in 5 sets.
Stanford will be challenged again this week with back-to-back meetings with 4th-ranked Texas. The Cardinal welcome the Longhorns to Palo Alto, Calif., on Tuesday, before returning the favor with a trip to Austin, Texas, for a Friday matchup.
