The South Dakota Coyotes earned an NCAA Tournament berth after a thrilling five-set victory over Denver in the Summit League tournament championship match on Sunday.
South Dakota’s Hayley Dotseth joined the elite ranks of the 1,000 kill/1,000 dig club. Dotseth was one of 12 players to notch her 1,000th kill, while five players joined the 1,000-dig club on Week 7.
Northern Kentucky’s Haley Libs recorded her 1,000th dig last weekend, earning membership into the 1,000 kill/1,000 dig club, while seven players each reached 1,000 kills or 1,000 digs.
Denver is the preseason favorite to win the Summit League.
Utah outside Adora Anae, who attended nearby Kahuku High School, was named Most Outstanding Player at the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic.
Utah picked up a quick three-set win over South Dakota at the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic with the Utes hitting for .371 in the match.
