Class of 2021 outside hitter Cecily Bramschreiber has committed to the Texas Christian University (TCU) women’s volleyball program.
Bramschreiber will be a sophomore for this 2018-2019 school year at Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas. As a freshman she appeared in 120 sets for the team, knocking down 285 kills (2.4 per set) on a .202 hitting percentage to go with 145 digs (1.2 per set), 31 blocks (0.3 per set), eight aces (0.1 per set) and a .927 reception percentage. That led to her being named a first-team all-district performer.
It continues the pipeline of players from Lovejoy High School to Division I programs, including Cecily’s sister – Shanel Bramschrieber who is at Baylor. Beyond the players who are already at colleges or just joined them this fall, they also have commitments registered in the VolleyMob Recruiting Database to TCU Beach (2020 Madeline Speicher) and Texas State (2019 DS/L Michelle Foster).
Bramschreiber also plays with a club team that has produced top level talent as well in MadFrog Volleyball Club, most recently the 15’s National Blue team. Her Hudl profile can be seen here while her club profile can be seen here.
TCU finished 2017 at 15-17 overall and 4-12 as a member of the Big 12 en route to an NIVC Tournament Semifinals appearance. Their 2018 season begins on August 24 with matches against UAB and Green Bay before the weekend finale against SIUE.
