The #3 ranked UCLA Bruins beach volleyball team had a big Sunday on the sand as they were able to take down two top-10 teams. The Bruins closed out their home schedule with a 3-2 win over #5 Long Beach State and a 4-1 victory over #8 Arizona.

In the middle of the country at the Houston Baptist Invitational, #7 LSU continues their dominance in this 2017 season with a sweep of the entire tournament. This is the teams fourth consecutive weekend sweep on the season, extending their winning streak to 16 matches.

The Tigers first match on Sunday to Tulane was a tough battle, but were able to pull out the 3-2 victory and to 5-0 sweep over UCA.

“Another undefeated weekend is a great way to start out spring break,” said head coach Russel Brock. The team will now have a few days off in preparation for their final home event of the season.

With a shorter schedule than most, Washington squeezed in a couple of matches this weekend, going 1-1 on Sunday. Washington dropped their first match to #8 Arizona in a tough 2-3 battle but turned it around to sweep Concordia in their final match of the day.
