West Virginia garnered the commitment of Natalie Winters, a recruit from Texas, for the class of 2019. Winters currently plays for Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas in addition to the 17 Elite at the Houston Juniors Volleyball Club.

With both her club and high school teams, Winters plays the libero, defensive specialist and outside hitter positions.
This past season with Seven Lakes High School, she was a part of a 11-5 team as she earned first-team all-district honors as a sophomore. She played in 93 sets as a freshman, which was upped to 145 in year two when she posted 608 digs (4.2 per set) and 137 kills.
On the club side, Winters plays for Houston Juniors Volleyball Club, the number one ranked team in the city of Houston and the Lone Star Region as well as number 13 in the nation.

West Virginia is currently off to a 2-1 start as they are coming off of a 2016 season in which they finished 12-18 with a 3-13 Big 12 conference mark.
