THE BIG MATCH:

#9 Kansas (19-3, 8-1) at #23 Iowa State (15-4, 6-3) – 8:30 pm ET

A top 25 matchup occurs in the Big 12 in Ames, Iowa as the Cyclones look for revenge for a five-set loss handed to them by Kansas in Lawrence.

The visiting team, Kansas, won that previous meeting by overcoming a 2-0 set deficit. Kelsie Payne (22 kills, .306, 13 digs) and Madison Rigdon (20 kills, .281, 15 digs) posted big numbers in the match and were key in the comeback as they look to sweep the Cyclones and rebound from a lethargic five-set match against Oklahoma.

Iowa State built their early lead with strong blocking and defense, and will look to carry that throughout the match this go-around. Setter Monique Harris logged 53 assists, 26 digs and four blocks as Alexis Conaway was one of her top options with 15 kills (.343) to go with 14 digs and a trio of blocks. They’ll need to step up again as they look to continue a three-match winning streak.

OTHER NOTABLE MATCHES:

#1 Penn State (20-1, 9-1) at (RV) Illinois (16-6, 7-4) – 7 pm ET

Illinois has to quickly rebound after suffering a five-set loss to #3 Minnesota, but they proved a lot in the match that ended up being a road loss. Penn State is coming off a win over #12 Wisconsin and is starting a big two-match road trip starting with this one in a potential trip-up that could alter the top of the rankings.

#25 Colorado (16-6, 6-5) at (RV) Oregon State (16-7, 6-5) – 9 pm ET

Colorado had won three in a row until a loss to UCLA in five sets, but they rebounded strongly with a five set win at Oregon. Now they go for another win in the state against maybe the hottest team in the Pac-12 in Oregon State, who has won five straight and just downed Utah in four sets.

BEST OF THE REST:

#18 Baylor (17-5, 7-2) at Oklahoma (5-17, 2-7) – 3 pm ET

#14 Creighton (17-5, 10-1) at Providence (15-11, 4-7) – 5 pm ET

Iowa (15-9, 4-7) at #10 Michigan State (15-5, 8-3) – 6:30 pm ET

West Virginia (14-8, 3-6) at #5 Texas (16-2, 8-0) – 8 pm ET

Northwestern (13-10, 3-8) at #12 Wisconsin (14-6, 5-6) – 8 pm ET
