A pair of top-20 teams in the Pac-12 meet in Los Angeles with undefeated conference records on the line and the winner taking command at the top of the league.
The Huskies are in their second match in Los Angeles of the week and will look for similar success to their 3-1 win at #17 UCLA on Friday night. All-American Courtney Schwan was the team-leader in kills for the match with 13 as she also logged 13 digs, three assists, an ace and a block. Last year Washington swept USC in a meeting in Los Angeles as they out-hit the Trojans .340 to .181 and won the ace battle 7-0.
USC is off to a stellar start in conference play with wins at UCLA, vs. Oregon State and Washington State last night. Khalia Lanier continues to look like an All-American in 2017 as she posted 23 kills (.308), nine digs, five aces and three blocks in the four-set win over the Cougars.
OTHER NOTABLE MATCHES:
#24 Florida State (8-3, 2-1) at (RV) Notre Dame (10-4, 0-3) – 1 pm ET

The Seminoles are fresh off their first ACC loss as they were tripped up by Louisville in a difficult place to play. They still are one of the top contenders in the conference, something that Notre Dame appeared to be until their 0-3 start to conference play. All three of the losses have come in five sets though, including to Louisville and an unbeaten Miami (FL) team, so things should turn soon for the Fighting Irish.
(RV) Washington State (12-3, 1-2) at #17 UCLA (8-4, 1-2) – 4 pm ET

UCLA hosts their second school from the state Evergreen state for the week as they look to rebound from their four-set loss to Washington. They’ll just be looking to get back to .500 in conference play in a tough early schedule, but it won’t be easy. Washington State is in the same boat after a loss to fellow Los Angeles school USC last night but as the gauntlet continues.
