At the conclusion of last season, Long Beach State was left with a #7 rank and an 11-11 record on the year. This season, they are looking to improve upon that, making it back into the top-five.
The start of the Beaches season is a pair of home meets – hosting Irvine Valley and CSU Bakersfield on March 4 then Cal State Los Angeles and #9 Stetson on March 7. The team’s fist top-five match up comes against #3 Florida State at the UCLA Invitational, where they will also face #8 Georgia State and #10 LSU.
The squad will face all of the top-five ranked teams from last season, ending with the reigning national championship, USC on the road.
All of the matches will be a build up into the Big West Championships that will take place at Pismo Beach, California on April 28-29 – followed by the NCAA Championships from May 5-7 if they qualify in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
