THE BIG MATCH:

#8 Washington (21-7, 11-6) at #16 Oregon (16-9, 9-8) – 4 pm ET

Both of these schools are coming off of losses to unranked competition, as the Huskies dropped one to Oregon State in five sets while Oregon was upset by Washington State. The loss comes harder for the Ducks as Washington still is sitting pretty to host in the first two rounds while Oregon’s RPI puts them on the hosting bubble. From a more local perspective, both of these teams are part of the middle jumble in the Pac-12 standings.

This is the second meeting on the year for these two Pacific Northwest rivals, as Washington claimed the first match in five sets back on October 11. Taylor Agost (19 kills, .277, 11 digs, five blocks, two aces) put on an all-around show for Oregon while Courtney Schwan (15 kills, .255, 17 digs) had a fantastic match in her own right. Both will look for an encore in this important Pac-12 showdown.

OTHER NOTABLE MATCHES:

(RV) NC State (19-9, 14-3) at Notre Dame (20-8, 10-7) – 1 pm ET

NC State suffered a tough loss to Louisville on Friday night that puts them in a difficult position for winning the ACC title. No matter what though, all of their hopes in doing so rely on them winning, but it won’t be easy in South Bend. Both of these schools are looking good for the NCAA Tournament, but it’s not a certainty with three matches to play. A win in this meeting would go a long way in that regard.

#24 Wichita State (25-3, 17-0) at SMU (20-8, 14-3) – 2 pm ET

With just two matches remaining for both sides after the conclusion of this one, Wichita State has already secured at least a share of the AAC title. SMU’s lone hope is to win this then two more while the Shockers would need to lose out for a championship split at the top. Beyond that, it’s almost a passing of the torch match, as Wichita State is so close to going unbeaten in their first AAC season and can win the conference outright over last year’s champion.

BEST OF THE REST:

North Carolina (14-11, 11-6) at (RV) Louisville (21-6, 15-2) – 1 pm ET

#19 Wisconsin (18-8, 9-8) at Northwestern (14-15, 4-13) – 2 pm ET

#14 Baylor (22-5, 12-2) at West Virginia (16-11, 4-9) – 2 pm ET

Washington State (16-13, 5-12) at (RV) Oregon State (20-9, 10-7) – 6 pm ET
