The Pac-12 still has the lowest average ranking in the country, but the Big Ten is catching up in a hurry. While the former AVCA #1 team in the country Minnesota lost last weekend, that only dropped them to 4th in the second edition of the NCAA’s RPI rankings given that the lost came to a top 25 team.
The Big 12 also made up ground on the top 2.
The SEC has jumped the West Coast Conference for 3rd in the league-by-league rankings, compiled based on the average ranking of every team within a conference. The ACC remains ranked 8th – the lowest-ranked of any “Power 5” conference.
