Just like in the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championships, where Iran and Russia battled for gold, Universiade’s gold medal contest once again pitted both teams against each other. And what do you know, the story repeated itself, as Iran upset the former champions and came out on top. Surely, this denotes Iran’s organization and goals towards becoming relevant in the volleyball world.
