In a top-two showdown, then-#2 Southwest Minnesota State took down then-#1 Concordia-St. Paul in four sets to take over the #1 seed in this weeks AVCA Division II Coaches Poll. The win also gave Southwest Minnesota State 44 first place votes as compared to Concordia-St. Paul’s four.

Of the largest jumps in the poll, California Baptist took over the #12 spot after sitting at #24 last week, holding a 7-0 record. Tarleton State’s strength of schedule has helped them not drop out of the top-25, but rather move up with their 5-3 record. The squad moved to #14 from #17 in the previous week after a win over then-#19 Central Oklahoma but losses to then-#2 Southwest Minnesota State and then-#6 Angelo State. Also moving up are Central Oklahoma from #19 to #13, and Winona State from #13 to #11.

Regis makes their way into the top-25 of the Division II poll at the #21 spot with a 7-1 record.

Wayne State (Neb.) dropped from #12 to #17 after a tough week of play at a now 5-3 record with Cal State San Bernardino dropping five spots, too, from #11 to #16.
