A 5’11” right-handed hitting middle blocker, Barnes was a part of a 24-14 team last season that made the state tournament and won a match to advance into the event.
This year with Sachse High School, Barnes is assisting the team with a hot start as they are currently 21-8 and looking to build off last season’s success and ending.
Currently, Louisiana has seven middle blockers on its 2017 roster. Of those seven, two are juniors, meaning they would be on pace to graduate by the time Barnes arrives on campus. Two others are sophomore as well, meaning they will likely be on their last leg when Barnes is a freshman as she will look to compete for playing time early in her career.
