Following another 2-0 week for BYU that pushed the Cougars conference record to 8-0, libero Mary Lake is bringing home the latest West Coast Conference Player of the Week honors.

Lake, a sophomore from Palm Springs, California, posted 40 digs for the week to go with eight assists and an ace. Those 40 digs in six sets of play work out to be an astounding 6.67 digs per set as she led a BYU defense that held their two opponents to a combined .112 hitting percentage.

Not only does she garner the award, but her week raises her already-league best digs per set mark from 4.45 to 4.53. Beyond that, her passing was crucial in getting the Cougars into system offensively where they hit .382 for the week.

In the two matches, BYU swept Portland and Gonzaga as they are the lone unbeaten in the conference and rank in the top 10 overall in the latest VolleyMob Top 25 Power Rankings.
