The 16th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies left the 2016 Puerto Rico Clásico with just a 3-3 overall season record after beating Virginia Tech but falling to Florida State and Minnesota, but can take some solace in the fact that all three of their losses so far this season have come at the hands of teams ranked in the top 13 of the latest AVCA poll. The .500 record still leaves the team as the favorites in the SEC, though a possible fall from the top 25 before they head into conference play at the end of September is possible as their last two out of conference matches are against #3 Texas and #2 Wisconsin.

Besides the action on the court, the Aggies took advantage of the early-season trip to San Juan to soak up some beach time – where among other things they learned how much harder it is to elevate from wet sand than the parquet floors of the court, or even than the manicured sand of beach volleyball.

Check out highlights of the weekend, both in and out of the gym, in the video above, courtesy of Texas A&M Athletics.
