The Hungarian Volleyball Federation announces Alberto Salomoni as the countries new women’s national team head coach.

Salomoni will begin his duties as head coach with the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship qualifiers in Croatia in May, followed by the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Group 3 debut in July. The team will also be competing at the European Championship in Azerbaijan and Georgia in September.

“I would like to use my experience and knowledge to help the Hungarian national team to further develop and improve,” said Salomoni. “There is no need to implement major changes. We have to continue the work that paid off and brought success to the team. The most vital thing to do is to move forward step by step.”

Prior to leading the Hungarian team, he worked with the German women’s national team and coached clubs in the Italian and German leagues. Currently he is coaching the Hungarian club team of MTK Budapest.
