The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced their weekly award winners on Tuesday (March 14). Grand Canyon’s Cullen Mosher is the Offensive Player of the Week while Jeff Jendryk of Loyola-Chicago earned the Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Mosher averaged 4.22 kills last week in a pair of MIVA wins at McKendree. In the first match, a four-set victory, he had 14 kills and an ace. The following night he came up big in a five-set victory over the Bearcats by recording 24 kills on a .404 hitting percentage. For the week the junior hit .316 and averaged 4.6 points per set.
Jendryk averaged 1.25 blocks while adding four digs in matches against two ranked opponents. In a five-set win over then No. 11 CSUN, he recorded eight blocks (one solo) with three digs. The junior returned the next night to notch two blocks and a dig in a three-set loss at No. 2 Long Beach State.
