In a five set match in the Korean V-League semifinals, KGC Ginseng Corporation was able to topple IBK Industrial Bank to tie the series at 1-1, with the help of a strong American attack.
Alaina Bergsma Coble was on fire, tying the American record for number of points scored in a match with 55 in the five set match for an average of 11 points per set in the match. The 55 points breaks down to an impressive 50 kills and five blocks. The record ties Nicole Fawcett’s 55 points scored in the Korean V-League on February 14, 2013, which at the time was a world record for points in a single match and American record for a pro or international match.

In 2014, Bergsma Coble nabbed the finals MVP of the PSL Grand Prix Conference Finals.
In Bergsma Coble’s collegiate career at Oregon she earned the AVCA National Player of the Year and Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2012. Also earning an AVCA First-Team All-American status. In 2012, Bergsma Coble ranked fifth nationally and first in the Pac-12 with 4.85 kills per set and 5.35 points per set.
