Ava Bell and Hadden LaGarde have enrolled early to the University of North Carolina and are set to train and compete with the team this spring semester.
Bell is a 6’2″ middle blocker/outside hitter from Austin, Texas who was named as a Third-Team Under Armour High School All-American this season. She was named the #51 recruit in the nation and helped lead Rouse High School to the Bi-District Finals in 2014 and 2015 and the Regional Finals in 2016. Bell was a two-time All-District 19-5A First Team selection and the District Hitter MVP in 2016.
This past high school season, Bell helped the Raiders to a 31 match winning streak that brought the team to a 47-3 record on the year, including a 16-0 conference mark.
Also joining the team early is LaGarde who was a four-time all-conference selection at Carolina Friends School. LaGarde is an outside hitter from Saxapahaw, North Carolina who has played with Chapel Hill Area and Triangle volleyball clubs. She was named a three-time all-state honoree and is a top-250 recruit in the nation.
Coming in the summer will be Destiny Cox and Lauren Harrison to help the Tar Heels in the 2018 season.
