High Point put up a fight in the first set, leading the Longhorns 20-18. Texas recovered in time, putting together a 7-1 run to pull out the 25-21 win.
In the second set, the Panthers opened with a 4-0 run and held on to the lead until the Longhorns went on a 9-1 rally to jump ahead, 16-12. Texas withstood a late High Point Push to win the set, 25-21.
The Longhorns stormed through the third set, hitting .450 to register the 25-15 win. Texas never trailed in the finale game to secure the sweep.
Freshman Brionne Butler and junior Micaya White led the Longhorns with 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Sophomore Ashley Shook recorded a team-high 30 assists, while freshman Sydney Peterson logged a team-high 14 digs. Butler (7), senior Morgan Johnson (6) and senior Yaazie Bedart-Ghani (5) led the blocking effort.

Senior Adeline Ellis posted a team-high 8 kills for High Point. Freshman Mackzenzi Thornburg registered a team-high 18 assists, and sophomore Abby Bottomley notched a team-high 14 digs.

No. 6 Wisconsin dropped the opening set to High Point but rallied back to register the 4-set winner to remain undefeated on the season, 5-0. The Badgers put together an unstoppable blocking effort, tallying 17 to the Panthers’ 2, and hit .328 for the win.

High Point hung on through 14 tie scores with the Badgers and used a 3-0 scoring drive to earn the 25-23 set one victory. Wisconsin used a 7-2 stretch to regain control in the second set and withstood a late Panther push to secure the 25-20 win.
In the third set, High Point led early before Wisconsin used a 5-1 stretch to pull ahead. The Badgers maintained momentum for the remainder of the set to tally the 25-21 win. High Point tied the fourth set up 5-5, but Wisconsin never fell behind en route to its 25-17 victory.

Sophomore Dana Rettke (14) and redshirt sophomore Molly Haggerty (10) each recorded double figure kill totals for Wisconsin, while sophomore Sydney Hilley distributed a team-high 45 assists. Rettke just missed a double-double with a team-high 9 blocks, and junior Tiffany Clark logged a team-high 16 digs.
With the win, Wisconsin earned the HotelRed Invitational crown. The Badgers went undefeated with wins over #2 Texas and High Point.

High Point had a trio register double figure kill totals, including senior Katie Tylman (13), freshman Madison Smith (12) and senior Molly Livingston (12). Freshman Mackzenzi Thornburg dished out a team-high 25 assists, while sophomore Abby Bottomley posted a team-high 23 digs.
