The FIVB World League is about to begin in full swing, with competition beginning this weekend. The Canadian men’s volleyball team has announced their roster that will travel for the World League events.
This year marks that first time that the Canadian men’s team will be in Group 1 of the International Tournament, meaning that their competition is much more challenging than before. In 2016, Canada won Group 2 after a dominant World League performance that ended with the Canadians taking down Portugal in the finals. In addition, Canada capped off their 2016 season with a fifth place finish at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
The traveling roster will feature six 2016 Olympians, along with several new faces to the senior A squad.
