CAVB Confirms Playing Date Of Men’s African Club Championships

The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) has announced that from March 17-27 the Men’s African Club Championships will take place.

The CAVB has also announced that the tournament will be held in the Tunisian captial of Tunis. The competition will be open to the league champions of the affiliated national federations, also including the local cup champions. The CAVB announced the deadline to confirm a teams participation of February 28, 2017.

In previous years, 24 teams have participated in the Sousse (2015) and Cario (2016) editions of the competition.

Among the teams that are expected to participate are three Egyptian teams – defending champions El Geish, record title holder Al Ahlhy (11 titles) and Zamalek (five titles). Other teams expected to play are Esperance (four titles), Sfax (six titles) and Etoile du Sahel (two titles).
