5 Top 15 matchups are on the docket this week for NCAA volleyball fanatics to enjoy! The top 2 teams in the Big East Conference and Pac-12 Conference go at it, while the Big Ten Conference presents a trio of Top 10 matchups.

Illinois (No. 5 VolleyMob/No. 6 AVCA) at Nebraska (No. 7 VolleyMob/No. 9 AVCA)
Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. ET
Devaney Center | Lincoln, Neb.

  • Illinois is trending up, using a 3-match win streak to jump back into the Top 5 this week. With a 7-3 Big Ten mark, the Fighting Illini are tied for 3rd in conference standings along with. Michigan and Wisconsin.
  • The Fighting Illini will have another shot at Nebraska, which they fell to in 4 sets earlier this season on Sept. 29. The Huskers earned that win with a .271 attack percentage, 14 blocks and 8 service aces, while holding Illinois to a .157 attack percentage, 7 blocks and 2 service aces.
  • Nebraska could use a boost, as it has dropped 3-straight conference matchups to fall to 6-4 in Big Ten action. The Huskers are tied for 6th along with Purdue.

  • Friday features a showdown between the top 2 Pac-12 programs, as Stanford visits USC. The Cardinal is undefeated in conference action with a 10-0 mark, while the Trojans have compiled a 7-3 record in the competitive field.
  • Stanford has won 16 consecutive matches this season and 15-straight Pac-12 matches dating back to last season.
  • USC is looking to rebound from its 5-set loss at Washington State with an upset victory over the Cardinal.
  • In their first matchup of the season at Stanford, the Trojans fell in straight sets. The Cardinal overcame USC with advantages in attack percentage (.396 to .158) and on the block (13 to 5) to earn the win.

  • One match separates these programs, as Creighton is perfect at 10-0 and Marquette is 9-1 in Big East volleyball action.
  • The Bluejays have won 11-straight matches, including a sweep of the Golden Eagles at home on Sept. 23. Creighton outdid Marquette in attack percentage (.322 to .210), at the net (7 to 1) and at the service line (4 to 1) to secure the one-sided victory.
  • Since the loss, the Golden Eagles have won 9 matches in a row. With a win over Creighton on Friday, Marquette would join the Bluejays atop conference standings.

Minnesota (No. 3 VolleyMob/No. 3 AVCA) at Michigan (No. 14 VolleyMob/No. 12 AVCA)

  • Still perfect in Big Ten play at 10-0, Minnesota makes the trip to face Michigan inside the Crisler Center Saturday night. The Golden Gophers bring an 11-match win streak into the contest.
  • It is the first of 2 matchups between the two programs in a 10-day period, as they will meet again on Nov. 4 in Madison, Wis.
  • Michigan has won 5 of its last 6 conference matches with its only loss coming on the road at Illinois. The Wolverines are in a 3-way tie for third with a 7-3 mark.

  • The Wolverines play their first Top 10 matchup of the week against Wisconsin on Friday night inside of the Crisler Center.
  • Michigan plays well at home, registering an 11-1 mark when competing in Ann Arbor, Mich.
  • Wisconsin is tied for third with a 7-3 mark along with the Wolverines and Illinois. The Badgers have won back-to-back Big Ten matches, downing Nebraska (3-2) and Iowa (3-0).
