Chemik Police Trains With Other Polish League Teams Due To EuroVolley

With the 2017 CEV European Women’s Championships going on, many teams are without their players to begin training for the opening of the 2017 club season. This is true for the Polish women’s champions, Chemik Police, as they only have six players present while the rest are still competing.

The lack of players in the facility for the champions poses a difficult challenge when it comes to practices because they don’t have the stimulus of another team on the opposite side of the net. There is only so much you can do with six players at a practice, forcing Chemik Police to branch out and seek opportunities for some competition throughout the Liga Siatkowki Kobiet. Last week, Chemik Police took their practice to Stargard Concentration, where they combined the practice efforts.

“I enjoy the opportunity to practice together because there are pieces of real volleyball that we miss. I am looking forward to the start of the league,” said Katarzyna Zaroslinska of Chemik Police.

Now, the team is on their way to traveling with PTPS.

“We needed someone on the other side of the net, so we didn’t have to train alone. We are now moving to Saw, where we also have planned joint workouts,” said Piotr Matela, Chemik Police assistant coach.

The European Championships is nearly over, with players able to make returns to their clubs next week. The finals of the championships will be on October 1 in Baku.
